How It Works
Hypericin, an active constituent in St. John’s wort, supports the nervous system by helping to promote positive mental attitude and mood. Research links hypericin to the alleviation of stress. Kudzu contains daidzin, an isoflavone which may support the nervous system.
Kudzu is a native of China and Japan and has been used extensively in the folk medicine of China, Japan, and Korea for centuries to combat the extreme effects of alcohol. Kudzu seems to lessen cravings for alcohol and even helps to quench thirst according to recent studies done at the Isan Pharmaceutical Research Laboratory in Japan.
Hypericin, an active constituent in St. John’s wort, is a crucial partner in this formula, providing support for the nervous system in times of physical and emotional stress. Hypericin has been studied and reported on in reputable Journals such as Phytomedicine, Vol 1, 1994, pp.3-8.
The leaves of this plant produce a soothing effect to lessen nervous irritability. Its place is certainly appropriate since it has been historically and scientifically proven to be a natural anti-depressant. This quality aids in withdrawal symptoms.
