Learn More About NSP’s New Line of Flower Essences
Let us preface this info with our belief that Christ has all the answers to emotional healing, which for us is the best way to go, but flower essences have been used for a long time to provide benefits to those who have no interest in spiritual things, for pets, and even to use on people who aren’t willing to seek help. Important News on Supplement Laws
The Alliance for Natural Health (ANH-USA), together with a number of supplement trade organizations, went to Capitol Hill to plead our case about the FDA’s profoundly flawed NDI (new supplement) draft guidance in the offices of two powerful senators and longtime friends of natural health, Sen. Tom Harkin (D-IA) and Sen. Orrin Hatch (R-UT).
Our visit was preceded by all the letters you have been sending to Congress, which have immeasurably increased the visibility of this issue. As you know, if this draft guidance stands, it would allow FDA to arbitrarily deny the sale of any supplement created (or modified) in the past seventeen years. Immediately after this meeting, Sens. Harkin and Hatch wrote to FDA Commissioner Margaret Hamburg and formally asked the FDA to withdraw its guidance document. Read the entire article.
A Building Business Tip
We were emailing with one of our distributors who is building her business. She’s been signing up family and friends and looking for new distributors to build her Sunshine Family. This was a tip we shared and thought we’d include in this month’s newsletter since it’s one that has worked well for a long time.
Most folks won’t want to be distributors that you sign up, but even customers like to get rebates, so this is an approach we took when we had the retail store and signed up customers to be able to buy at wholesale prices direct. We had a “script” that the employees used and it went something like this:
“Now that you have an account number, you can begin to earn 10% rebates if you place any order over 100 QV in a calendar month. It’s 12% over 300 and continues to go up, so you may want to check around with friends, family or co-workers to see if you can order anything for them so you can pay a bit less for your own products. If you’ve got supplement users that you don’t see, you can give them your account number so they can become a member also and you will get some extra rebate for their orders too, as long as you place 100 QV order in the same month they order.
So .. you see you don’t have to do a business or become a distributor. Nature’s Sunshine allows you to do this without carrying any inventory or paying for distributorship fees. Most folks don’t have time for a business, but when you get excited about a product that you use, you’ll always want to tell others to be a help to them. Just thought I’d let you know about NSP’s policies and how you could get your own supplements for a bit less. You actually get a check the following month, not just a credit for NSP products, but an actual check you can cash and use on anything you want.”
We found that most folks freak when you mention business, so we stopped doing that and began with this approach and found that folks went out and ordered for co-workers and signed up family members, etc. and we saw our Sunshine Family growing. Most folks just want to “order for themselves” but this approach gives them a broader view of doing so. And actually, some of those folks ended up asking MORE about the business and did become Managers.”
