Kudzu is a native of China and Japan and has been used extensively in the folk medicine of China, Japan, and Korea for centuries to combat the extreme effects of alcohol. Kudzu seems to lessen cravings for alcohol and even helps to quench thirst according to recent studies done at the Isan Pharmaceutical Research Laboratory in Japan.
