Thanks to each of you who participated in our survey. I thought there would
be some sections we could cut (such as the joke or recipe or even my
comments), but I was so surprised at the percentages of interest in all
sections. I guess we're right on target for most of you....and I guess
that's why y'all are still here :-)

I thought I'd respond to a few comments here (since nobody left their email
address) which gives everybody the benefit of having the information:

* Can't do color and grahics without doing HTML and that would eliminate a
good chunk of subscribers.

* Can't give you proportions of herbs in the formulas since they are
proprietory blends and not made available.

* You can contact us by replying to the newsletter.

* Those who wanted more meat to the Spiritual/Emotional Aspect of Health can

BAKED POTATOES

You're probably thinking, "I know how to bake a potato--I don't need
this tip." But are you SURE you know how to bake a potato?

Do you use aluminum foil? Bad move. You're actually making a boiled
potato. The foil traps the moisture and essentially steams the potato.
Place the potato on the oven rack instead of wrapping it, and pierce
the skin a few times with a fork. The result will be a baked potato
with a crispy skin. For an even crispier skin, rub some butter in the
potato before baking it. Bake the potato at 450 degrees for one hour.

How do you open a baked potato? With a knife? Nope. Use a fork to make
two cuts--once lengthwise and then crosswise. Push the potato from the
ends and you'll have one very presentable potato. If you use a knife,
it will leave a smooth texture on the edge and will not absorb as much
of the topping.

FLAVORED OLIVE OIL

The nutritional benefits of olive oil are well known. Not all fat is fat!
That means that some types of fats are so good for you -- and others are
bad. That doesn't mean you should avoid all of them. You need essential
fatty acids for many functions in the body, one of which is to help stay
slim and trim. One way to use olive oil is to add herbs to it. You are
basically preserving the herb in the oil. I add Rosemary to mine since I
love the flavor of rosemary and that flavor comes across if you use the oil
on bread or salads. Use your favorite fresh herb and begin discovering the
wonderful benefits of olive oil at your table or for stove cooking.

An old country doctor went way out to the boondocks to deliver a baby. It
was so far out, there was no electricity. When the doctor arrived, no one
was home except for the laboring mother and
her 5-year-old child.

The doctor instructed the child to hold a lantern high so he could see,
while he helped the woman deliver the baby. The child did so.

The mother pushed and after a little while, the doctor lifted the newborn
baby by the feet and spanked him on the bottom to get him to take his first
breath. The doctor then asked the 5-year-old what he thought of the baby.

The little boy responded: "He shouldn't have crawled in there in the first
place. Spank him again."
