A NOTE FROM DONNA

Here in Virginia you can feel Fall in the air. Every morning there's a real
chill and it's got me cleaning house and polishing furniture. We have
enjoyed our first summer in Virginia so much! I love fresh air. Since
we've got trees all around us, it is so refreshing. Randal says I'm like a
puppy dog. I need to have my head hanging out the window. :-)

September seems to be a time of beginning again. Summer vacations are over
for children and people begin new routines. Even if we don't have children
at home, it's a time for new projects and fresh thoughts. I hope you're
spending some time planning and dreaming for things ahead of you. Dreams
and goals keep us excited about getting up each day and since my health has
so much improved from the principles I've learned in the "Biblical
Foundations of Freedom" book, I'm excited about having a new life again.
I've been able to do things that I thought I'd never do again due to
rheumatoid arthritis, fibromyalgia and a list of other health problems.

THE FIBROMYALGIA HAS BEEN GONE NOW FOR 16 MONTHS!
(Can you see me jumping up and down with joy!?)
and I've been checking off other health problems as I proceed with the
amazing, yet simple, facts in Art Mathias' book. This is a follow-up book
to the one I began with a few months before I got rid of fibromyalgia. If
you or family members have health problems that are limiting their lives,
consider these books! We don't make a penny on them. All profits are given
to the organizations mentioned on the site:

Have a Terrific Week!

HERBS FOR WEDDINGS

Since June is the time of year for most weddings, I thought I'd throw in a
few traditional herbs that have been used in marriage ceremonies for almost
2,000 years.

Rosemary - Brides in ancient Greece entwined rosemary with myrtle and
hawthorn to fashion bridal crowns.

Rue - In some Easter European ceremonies, the bride's mother presented her
daughter with a pot of rue dug from her own garden.

Ivy - Roman couples were given a bough of heart-shaped leaves and trailing
stems of ivy during the bridal ceremony.

Marjoram - Ancient Greeks and Romans wove stems of marjoram into crowns and
nosegays for the bride and her attendants.

STRESS HORMONE LEVEL RELIABLE PREDICTOR OF DIVORCE

Elevated levels of stress hormones were the most reliable
predictors of divorce in 90 couples who were followed for 10
years by university researchers. The conclusion was a
surprise in light of literature suggesting that such
conscious actions as negative or aggressive behavior were
the best predictors of divorce. "Listen to your gut. It may
be telling you something" advises one professor.

The world has come to know this yellow-flowered herb for its

"THE WISE WOMAN'S STONE"

A wise woman who was traveling in the mountains found a precious stone in a
stream. The next day she met another traveler who was hungry, and the wise
woman opened her bag to share her food. The hungry traveler saw the precious
stone and asked the woman to give it to him. She did so without hesitation.

The traveler left, rejoicing in his good fortune. He knew the stone was
worth enough to give him security for a lifetime. But a few days later he
came back to return the stone to the wise woman.

"I've been thinking," he said, "I know how valuable the stone is, but I give
it back in the hope that you can give me something even more precious. Give
me what you have within you that enabled you to give me the stone."
