We are looking forward to the Nature's Sunshine Convention in
Philadelphia. I'm from Pennsylvania so I'm excited! We love to

LEMON ESSENTIAL OIL

I have used Lemon Oil for its anti-infectious and anti-viral
properties. It's a great addition to the Sunshine Concentrate you
should already be using for hand soap. Add 7 drops to the
quart-size container for hand soap at your sinks. If you have
another spray bottle that you use with Sunshine Concentrate for
cleaning countertops, you can add Lemon Oil to it to disinfect
with every wipe!

Lemon Oil can be used to keep iced tea fresh. It gives it a nice

STUDY OFFERS DIET SODA WARNING

Room-Temperature Storage Can Cause Problem

LOS ANGELES, Posted 10:29 a.m. May 20, 1999
A study found that when a can of diet soda is stored at room
temperature, the aspartame in the soda can break down into the
chemical formaldehyde. Aspartame is an artificial sweetner found
in most diet sodas.

CBS 2 News reports formaldehyde is known to cause cancer and
birth defects.

"In low doses in the environment, it's safe," internist Dr.
Michael Hirt told CBS 2 News. "In high doses, it can be a problem
to humans."

The problem only occurs in some sodas left at room temperature,
reports CBS 2 News. However, many sodas bought at stores are
often stored at room temperature for months.

Therefore, the iatrogenic injury rate dwarfs the annual

"Current research suggests that 36% of physician visits are

"Stanford University doctors compared the effects of chemotherapy
to doing nothing in patients with slow growing tumors of the
lymph nodes. The patients whose treatment was deferred for years
did just as well as patients who immediately recieved expensive
and unpleasant chemotherapy. Nineteen of the 83 (or 23%)
experienced spontaneous remission lasting four months to six
years. A review of the study in the New England Journal of
Medicine concluded, "... deferring treatment ... may allow for

"Chemotherapy and radiation can increase the risk of developing a
second cancer by up to 100 times, according to Dr. Samuel S.

"Of every 1000 American women getting mammograms each year
between the ages of 40 and 50, 345 will recieve false positive
results, often with unnecessary intervention as the result." --

"Harvard researchers studied hospital records from the state of
New York over a one year period. They estimated that more than
13,000 New Yorkers were killed and 2500 were permanantly disabled
due to medical care. More than 51% were blamed on medical

"During 1983-1992, between 90,000 and 110,000 Americans died from
reactions to prescription drugs, 320 from over the counter drugs,
and three from all dietary supplements combined, including

**FEATURED RECIPE**

VEGETARIAN CABBAGE ROLLS

1 1/2 cups Brown rice
1 cup Vegiburber (use favorite brand or type)
1 Onion (chopped)
2 stalks Celery (chopped)
2 tsp. Italian seasoning
12 large Cabbage leaves
Salt to taste

Saute onion and celery. Add brown rice, Vegiburger, salt and
seasoning. Simmer for 5 minutes. Steam cabbage leaves for 5 to 8
minutes. Put 1/2 cup mixture in each cabbage leaf, roll up, and
place roll side down on pan. Cover with tomato sauce and bake at
350 degrees for 45 minutes.

is not failing. Just pick yourself back up and continue on!
