A NOTE FROM DONNA

We’ve been helping an orphaned baby deer for the past month. It came to the
backyard to eat the corn we put out for the wildlife. It was no bigger than
a dog and has grown a little bit, but with about 16 other deer competing for
food, we are certainly challenged to get him to put on enough weight to make
it through the winter. He lost his spots during the past week and seems to
have grown just a bit.

I keep reminding myself that God is watching over him and that’s why he came
here. I also know that as with all of us, it’s the struggles and challenges
in life that give us the strength to live. Instead of grieving over his
situation, I am focusing on how God is looking after him, as He does all of
us. His ways are far above our own, and humanly, we can’t understand much
of what happens in this world, but there is a Master Plan far beyond our
comprehension, and it will all turn out for good in the end.

That’s the focus I have to have on the world’s events also and this small
piece of Creation that has been entrusted to us is a reminder of those who
are defending this large Nation at such a time as this.

Have a blessed week……
Donna

ANTI-BACTERIAL, THE NATURAL WAY

New strains of bacteria adapt and grow resistant to today’s commercial
antibiotics. Researchers and medical practitioners are exploring the
natural, anti-infectious nature of essential oils. They work in harmony
with our body’s immune system to fight infection without destroying the
healthy cells that synthetic antibiotics are known to do. Instead of
weakening the immune system, essential oils strengthen our body’s natural
response to infection. Guardian is an essential oil blend specifically for
the immune system. Read more about essential oils:

HOMEMADE TREATMENTS FOR STINGS AND BITES

If you are unfortunate enough to get stung, remember that
bee stings and wasp and hornet stings are treated differently.

Bee stings and ant bites are acidic. You want to apply an alkaline
treatment such as bicarbonate of soda to neutralize them.

Wasp and hornet stings are alkaline and can be neutralized
with an acid such as lemon juice.

NATURAL SUCCESS STORIES

PLANTER’S WART

“I had a planter’s wart on the bottom of my left foot that just would not go
away. Instead of going to the dermatologist for an acid treatment, my wife
wanted to try something “alternative.” She put a drop of Nature’s Sunshine
Tea Tree Oil on the wart and then followed it up with a dab of Nature’s
Sunshine Black Ointment and then we put a waterproof Band-Aid on it to keep
all the “alternative medicine” on it. We did it morning and night, and by
the second night (after three treatments), the wart was flat and there was a
“divot” in the middle where it looked as if the seed had drawn itself out.”

SPIRITUAL/EMOTIONAL LINK TO HEALTH

A DEPRESSED MIND MAKES FOR AN UNHEALTHY HEART

Previous research has demonstrated a strong connection
between depression and heart disease in men, but the impact
on women has not received as much attention. New research
examined nearly 700 middle-aged women complaining of chest
pain to determine if physical symptoms of heart disease are
associated with psychological disturbances. They found that
measures of depression and hostility correlated with
physical risk factors for hardened arteries, such as high
blood pressure, obesity and smoking.
