Also known as Bearberry, the leaves of this mountain bush contain a substance known as arbutin, which is a helpful nutritional aid for the urinary system. It has a soothing as well as an astringent effect and diuretic action. Uva-Ursi has had a place in the old herbals. It was used in the 13th century by Welsh Physicians of Myddfai. It was mentioned by Clusius in 1601 and recommended for medicinal use in 1763 by Gerhard of Berlin. It was placed in the London Pharmacopoeia in 1788, though was probably in use long before. Uva ursi is also so high in tannin content that it has been used to tan leather. Ingredients

Do not take with Cranberry & Buchu concentrate. Take 1 capsule with a meal twice daily.
