Carpet Cleaning
"We used 10 drops of Lemon
Essential Oil for each gallon as we cleaned our carpets
today. It was amazing how it brightened up the rug and helped
pull stains out....and what a fresh smell! We got daring and
decided to use Lavender
Oil for the bedroom and it was great! I also noticed
that by having the Lemon in the solution, there was not a problem
with foaming in the dirty water." Happy Housekeeper in Georgia

Rosemary Deodorizer & Disinfectant
6 drops Rosemary
6 drops Grapefruit
4 drops Lemon
2 ounces purified water
Combine oils and water in a 2-ounce glass
spritzer bottle. Shake well before each use and spray
liberally into the air. This spray will combat odors and kill
infectious organisms. During cold and flu season, add 2 drops
of Eucalyptus.
The blend works well in a diffuser also
without the water. |
Take Away the Paint Smell
Paint can make any room look brighter, but the smell
lasts quite awhile and the process of painting is not very uplifting
to the spirit or mind with all those fumes.
Add one (1) 5ml bottle of your favorite essential
oil to any five gallon bucket of paint. Stir vigorously and viola!
You've got your own personal paiint odor to help you get the
job done with a more energetic or brighter outlook!
Do this with Lemon
Essential Oil and help to protect your liver too! |
Clean Without Bleach
"I just mopped the kitchen floor
in a gallon of water, a squirt of Sunshine
Concentrate and 7 drops of Lemon
Essential Oil. I liked using bleach to disinfect, but I
know it is so bad for me and the pets, so I switched to Lemon Essential
Oil which smells so wonderful that it makes my mouth water! A really
nice benefit is that the floor is not sticky or slippery which
is the typical problem with chemical floor cleaners and the bleach
leaves a residue that I would have to rinse off. It sure is nice
to smell lemon and feel refreshed after mopping the floor instead
of dazed out from bleach vapors." Robin |
