Hearing your little girl screaming in the middle of the night with a horrible earache is hard to forget and frightening to any parent, unless you know what to do about it. CBG is a "lifesaver" you may want to have in your home for emergencies. By using several important herbs in one combination, ear pain, infection and tissue congestion may be alleviated. It's nice to have all three of those benefits in one convenient package. Although effective for adults, this formula is specially designed for many children's complaints. It's active principals have been concentrated by a special extraction process utilizing water, alcohol and glycerin. CBG stands for the formula's major constituents:Chickweed, Black cohosh and Goldenseal. The formula is easilyassimilated and usually acceptable to children by mouth. For quickest results, place a few drops under the tongue. It can help in cases of tonsillitis, sore throat, teething, colds, flu, lymphatic congestion(swollen glands), and common childhood diseases (chicken pox,measles, etc.). It comes in handy for those who have difficulty swallowing capsules or taking bitter herb teas because the extract has a large amount of sweet glycerin. If the taste is still objectionable,add a little honey. For earache, put a few drops of warmed tincture into the ear (ideally, after a couple of drops of lobelia tincture)and stuff with cotton. Repeat again the next day if necessary.Here is a breakdown of the ingredients in this formula: Chickweed herbis often thought of as a weight-loss herb, which it is. But now it has been discovered that it can help destroy tumors, help the body deal with blood poisoning, boils, burns, cough, deafness,hemorrhoids and inflammation. It is a fine overall healer, especially for skin problems (including warts). Black cohosh has been used in folk medicine for treating sore throat, rheumatism,bronchitis, uterine disorders and is also a sedative (cough spasms,some types of headache, etc.) It also helps with whooping coughand children's diarrhea. Goldenseal is world-famous as a natural antibiotic and also helps clear the liver, an organ where respiratory congestion often begins because it may be unable to clear the blood of allergens. Goldenseal alsohelps those with diabetes by lowering blood sugar. Desert tea herb or Brigham tea is related to ma huang or ephedra and is a natural antihistamine that helps stop sniffles and excessive sneezing. It is also a general tonic. Licorice rootis a natural sore throat remedy and helps nourish the adrenal glands, thereby increasing overall energy and the secretion of anti-inflammatory hormones. Valerian rootis included to help soothe and normalize the nerves for both pain and to help a child get to sleep and rest the system. It is one of the most powerful nervines yet discovered. Scullcap herbhas been used in cases of epilepsy, chorea (involuntary movement of face and extremities). It has mild pain-relieving properties and is definitely a nerve-rejuvenating tonic.
