Burdock is a common weed with giant leaves, and seeds (burrs) that cling tenaciously to clothing. Burdock root supports the urinary system in a variety of ways, including helping to remove fluid from the body. This may be the result of its tannin content. It also soothes the digestive tract and promotes appetite. Used mostly as a blood purifier, burdock increases overall skin health. Burdock has diuretic and diaphoretic properties.
